Torgon is made up of two parts, the old village dating back many hundreds of years and the new village of Torgon built next to the ski slopes of La Jorette.
Situated at 1150 m altitude, the peaceful village of Torgon overlooks the Rhône valley and Lake Geneva and is part of the massive Portes du Soleil ski area which combines both Switzerland and France, located on the Swiss side, spurs off the main circuit, offering much quieter skiing which can be extremely sought after during the peak holiday periods.
Our accommodation, the Goldtest Centre is located some 20 meters from La Jorette and the beginners ski area offering true doorstep skiing. Entry to the huge Portes du Soleil ski area is via the ski lifts at the Plan de Croix, some 5 minutes away by ski bus, the ski bus is free of charge and a regular service is provided.
New for the coming winter is a wonderful beginners ski area at 2000m with the ski lift Les Douaniers being installed ready for the opening of the ski region on the 23rd December 2017 giving Torgon the highest beginners ski area in the region !
