The mountains of the canton of Vaud, Switzerland lie in the alpine group called the Alpes Vaudoise, the area is dominated by views of the glacier at Les Diablerets ( 3201m), the nearby Grand Muveran (3051m), and the triple peaks above Leysin with their distinctive triple limestone summits named Tour d’Aï, Tour de Mayen and Tour de Famelon.
The people of Leysin reckon they received one of their first tourists in 1873 when a young German came to try the good air of the village, the first guesthouse opened a few years later and Leysin was firmly on the map when the railway opened in 1897.

Leysin, in the Vaudois Alps, is a Mecca for freestyle skiing in Switzerland. Its ski slopes are also popular with keen skiers of all levels.
The linked resorts of Leysin, Les Mosses and La Lécherette form a ski area of 100 km. With such a large area, there’s something for everyone: families, beginners or experts. With its easy access and attractive prices, the region of Leysin-Les Mosses-La Lécherette is the ideal destination for your winter holidays!
From the centre of Leysin, skiers can take the Aï chairlift or the Berneuse cable car up to the slopes. At an altitude of 2048, the Berneuse is known for its revolving restaurant, Le Kuklos. But in winter, it’s mostly its south-facing slopes that attract skiers looking for sunshine and thrills. While keen skiers slalom down to the resort or the snowpark – at the bottom of the slope – children have their first skiing lessons on teaching slopes, at la Vallée Blanche for example.
Popular with snowboarders and freestylers, the snowpark is constantly changing its layout.
With a total of 106 bedrooms spread out over 11 separate wings the Swiss Alpine Centre easily accommodates groups of different sizes giving them their own privacy and separate break-out rooms.
Groups from The Ski Company are accommodated on the second or third floors in comfort rooms; comfort rooms sleep 2 to 4 persons, all with private facilities.
Facilities include 11 well-equipped meeting rooms for 5 to 300 participants, 2 dining rooms, a bar, disco, gym, WIFI, movie & games rooms providing guests with the refreshment and relaxation they need after a day on the slopes.
